Copper pans and pots look nice and you’ll find they have superior cooking properties. Though they can be a bit pricey, they can last a long time with proper care.
Here are some helpful tips on copper kitchen product care.
1) Boil water for 15 minutes before using to remove lacquer and decrease the chance of burning the product. Adding baking soda to the water works the best.
2) Copper is sensitive to acids and salts, which cause residual discoloration if left untreated. So after use, immediately wash with mild detergent and a soft sponge, then rinse with warm water.
3) Occasionally apply a deep cleaner to the outside of the copper pot or pan and wipe in a circular direction. Salt and lemon make a great natural cleaner!
4) Dry well before storing it away.
